What's inside the recessROOM?
The recessROOM, a 12,000 square foot indoor play space in Cleveland, Ohio, is designed to be an intergenerational space where people of all ages can engage in play and connect. It features a wide array of equipment and attractions, including bounce houses, a soft play area, ride-on toys, hoverboards, zorbs, and more. A key feature of the recessROOM is its flexible setup, with everything in the room being movable to accommodate different events and groups. The space aims to blend play, art, and technology, encouraging spontaneous human connection and creative expression. This flexible and engaging environment makes the recessROOM an ideal venue for a variety of events, such as playgroups, daycare visits, school outings, corporate team-building events, birthday parties, and family gatherings.

Stage/Intergenerational games Area
The Stage/Intergenerational games Area is the perfect hub for creativity and connection. Whether it’s karaoke, open mic performances, or interactive storytelling, this space encourages everyone to take center stage and shine. With comfortable seating for spectators, it’s also a great spot for parents to relax and cheer on their little stars or catch their breath during the action. Enjoy both new and familiar tabletop games at each table or grab one from our collection on the grey shelves adjacent to the entrance.
In this space you will find seating for a couple of inflatables/bounce houses, 36, various table top games including (air hockey, foosball, pool, etc), Giant Uno, Giant Connect 4, Giant Jenga, Karaoke, 2 large screen TVs, a projector and 20 additional intergenerational games.
Track
The Track is where speed and excitement come alive! Perfect for hover cart racing, relay challenges, or simply letting kids run off some energy, this dynamic area gets hearts pumping and faces smiling. It’s designed for high-energy fun and is sure to be a favorite for anyone who loves a little friendly competition.
In this space you will find a tug of war rope, 2-3 adult trikes, 20-30 ride-ons for kids, ten ride-ons for adults, 2 Hamster Zorbs, Bunkers (for Nerf and Gellyball play), a basketball goal, two mini pickleball or volleyball courts, and more. Hoverboards are available at the front desk by request.
Group Games Areas
In the Group Games Areas, teamwork and laughter take the lead. With activities like dodgeball, capture the flag, and other exciting challenges, these spaces are perfect for families, friends, and even strangers to bond through play. The setup encourages collaboration, strategy, and good old-fashioned fun for participants of all ages.
In this space you will find dodgeballs, hockey sticks, 2 goals (for hockey or soccer), foam blocks (per request), and more.
Soft Play Area
The Soft Play Area is a haven for our youngest visitors to explore, climb, and tumble in a safe and engaging environment. Filled with colorful mats, soft obstacles, and age-appropriate equipment, this space is designed to spark curiosity and build confidence in toddlers and preschoolers. It’s the perfect spot for little adventurers to discover the joys of play.
In this space you will find a ball pit, caterpillar, foam climbing equipment, a baby/toddler swing set, building blocks, and more.
Toddler Town
Toddler Town is a miniature world of wonder designed specifically for toddlers to engage in imaginative play and interactive learning. Featuring pint-sized play structures, sensory stations, and creative activities, this area provides a safe, stimulating space for little ones to explore. Parents can join in the fun or watch nearby as their toddlers embark on big adventures in their own tiny town
In this space you will find legos, a puppet show stage, a toy chest full of random toys, an art cart, a sandbox full of toys, and much more.
